As airports shut and reports emerge of Israelis queueing at the Egyptian border to leave, the reality on the ground is cutting through the rhetoric.
A pompous Netanyahu may beat the drums of war, cloaking escalation as “national security”, while Israelis, the vast majority of which have supported Netanyahu’s genocide in Gaza and the bombing of several countries in the region, now panic and attempt to flee the consequences of Netanyahu’s religious extremist campaign of death and destruction.
