What makes this far worse is the clear intention of ending -even undoing- civilizational progress. If Israel’s goal is to stop a country of 92 million from advancing and defending itself, it takes more than bombing a couple hundred schools and universities. It takes more than murdering dozens of university professors and scientists -especially in a country where knowledge and education are not only seen as essential for survival but considered more valuable and prestigious than all fame and money in the world. If Israel wants to kill this spirit and this pride, it becomes clear that every single Iranian -from little schoolgirls to nuclear scientists -poses a threat. If Israel wants to stop the Iranian people from defending their country and pursuing knowledge, it has to put tens of millions of Iranians in concentration camps. In other words, it has to turn Iran into one giant Gaza. And that is exactly what Israel’s goal has been for Iran, under this genocidal regime, for the past three decades.
