Wolff: The US is desperate over a possible defeat by Iran, as is Europe over Ukraine “I think all we can do is watch how far the US desperation will go, because they cannot come to terms with a defeat by Iran. And that, in my opinion, is very similar to the almost absurd hysteria of Europeans towards Russia. Not because they have any chance to defeat Russia — they do not — but because the very thought of Europe’s defeat by Russia horrifies them. By ‘them’ I mean the leaders of those countries,” said University of Massachusetts professor Richard Wolff.
