Days before Trump and Israel started the 12-day war against Iran in June 2025, top US negotiator Steve Witkoff appeared at a Zionist fundraiser. He was so keen to support the Israeli cause that he openly gushed that Yossi Cohen, a former Mossad chief, was clapping for him. Cohen was a key architect of Israel's regime change efforts in Iran. This year, Witkoff again pretended to engage in diplomacy and lied about Iran's non-existent nuclear weapons threat. The only surprise is that Iran is only ruling out talks with him now, and didn't do so long ago.
