A better question is: why must Iran always absorb?

Why must Iran be the adult in a room full of arsonists?

Why must the resistance forever demonstrate restraint while America and Israel demonstrate only reach?

The answer is simple.

Because empire depends on asymmetric morality.

It wants one side fully armed and fully shameless, and the other side permanently moralized into paralysis.
