The 69th wave of the Iranian Air Force is complete (THE ISLANDER). Their goal: to deliberately destroy all fuel depots of US bases around Iran. Result? Mission accomplished. No fuel: No more attacks with US fighter jets on Iran. We'll see if the Americans are capable of circumventing this Iranian tactic. This isn't about simply refilling gas or diesel at a gas station. Like with a car. These fighter jets and bomber aircraft need 4,500 liters of aviation fuel per hour and must continuously "refuel." So they can hit not just one target, but multiple, they're "recharged" in the air by tanker aircraft. If there's no more aviation fuel in the ground tanks, nothing can be topped up in the air either. The missions have to be aborted.
