The Iranian Parliament is the world's only parliament where ninety percent hold PhDs.

Hossein Dehghan has been appointed as the successor to Iran's National Security Advisor Ali Larijani. The brief profile that has emerged about him is quite alarming, especially for the United States. Hossein Dehghan holds a PhD in Management Science. After the Khomeini Revolution, the U.S. Embassy was seized, along with CIA agents and staff. The person who led the students in that attack was none other than this Hossein Dehghan. Hossein Dehghan served as the commander of the IRGC in Lebanon. In 1983, the U.S. Marine Corps barracks in Beirut were bombed. The mastermind behind those attacks was also this Hossein Dehghan. Ali Larijani was an excellent politician, intellectual, and philosopher whom Israel unjustly assassinated. Now, as a replacement, Iran has brought forward a battle-hardened mastermind—well, go ahead and make your waves. Now, a debate has erupted in America that the new guy is even tougher than before. They say the one who comes new after a beating outdoes the previous one by two lengths. The Iranian nation is truly a wonder. The most astonishing thing is that there is no other nation in the world whose top ninety-five percent of leaders get killed and yet it survives. Iran's ninety-five highest minds—some politicians, some commanders, some bureaucrats, and some intellectuals and scholars—were taken out by America. The expectation was that Iran would collapse because no nation in the world can recover from such a massive leadership vacuum. But astonishingly, every next leader who has emerged in Iran, in whatever field, has proven to be even greater than the predecessors. The reason is that Iran does not have the politics of feudal lords and landowners. The Iranian Parliament is the world's only parliament where ninety percent hold PhDs. The second major reason is that Iran has been preparing for this war for the past forty years. For those forty years, they knew a time would come when there would be an attempt to topple the government, involving war. And over that forty-year period, they kept working on the second and third lines of leadership after the front line. They knew who the next leader would be if one was taken out, and accordingly, they continued preparing leaders at lower levels. The third major reason is the position of the Ayatollah, whose every word is treated as a divine command and fulfilled. There is no conflict among institutions; they operate within their boundaries in accordance with the Ayatollah's orders. The fourth and final major reason is the Iranian nation's love for knowledge. Iran has the highest rate of female scientists in the Muslim world. The literacy rate is between eighty and ninety percent. The eighty-eight-member committee that selects the Ayatollah has no member who has not pursued knowledge for at least thirty years. It is mandatory for them to obtain advanced degrees in both religious and modern contemporary education. Those eighty-eight scholars cannot build estates or bank balances, nor can their families. They live like ordinary ascetics. Promotions to high positions are granted not just on merit, but on the foundation of merit and piety. Nations are built this way; nations are not made by amassing wealth in seven continents.
