Netanyahu gave his first press conference since plunging the world into war, and gave the game away by focusing not on the war but on his desire for a pardon for his multiple crimes. The press conference was so self-serving, it was absolutely shocking.
He said, "The continuation of the trial tears us apart from within, stirs up this division, and deepens rifts." He argued that appearing in court three times a week during a direct war with a nuclear-threshold power is "impossible" and "paralyzes" the nation’s leadership.
Netanyahu also referenced President Trump’s support for a pardon, saying it would allow the two leaders to work "unencumbered" and "more vigorously" against the Iranian threat.
