Exactly what I have been saying. Iran's strategic victory over the US and Israel is virtually inevitable at this point because no matter how many operational successes we achieve in degrading Iran's offensive capabilities, in the end we are going to run out of missiles before they do. If we want to end the war, we are going to have to accept their terms for an armistice rather than them accepting ours.
That means that just like after the Twelve Day War, Iran will get to keep their Islamist regime, their nuclear weapons program and their long-range nuclear capable missiles. Because none of Trump's stated mission objectives ever had even the slightest chance of being achieved by airpower alone.
And then weeks or perhaps months from now after hundreds or thousands of Americans have been killed and wounded in an unnecessary war fought in furtherance not of US national security interests but rather Greater Israel, Americans will realize all our sons and daughters died for no reason and they will throw Republicans out of Congress in November. Then Trump will be impeached next year and a lot of Republicans will join the Democrats in voting for his impeachment and removal.
