In response, the Iranians hit Haifa refinery, instantly. We have climbed the escalation ladder onto the energy and civilian infrastructure targeting stage of this war. The Iranian regime is not collapsing. The US-Israeli side is escalating out of desperation. Yet all this shows: 1) The war isn't going according plan 2) There are no red lines restraining either side. If not stopped, this might soon spiral into a nuclear apocalypse. The first since Japan. What is Washington's plan for restraining Israel from escalating to nukes against Iran? Do we object to their unilateral first use? If so, have we communicated our position to Netanyahu? What is our response for that no longer far-fetched scenario?
