Margarita Simonyan
Maria Zakharova on 80th anniversary of the Fulton Speech, where Churchill first spoke of the Iron Curtain - a term he, of course, pinched from Goebbels. "History is literally repeating itself. Under the pretext of defending democracy, the NATO-centric coalition is funding Nazis. Back then Anglo-Saxon politicians over poker, cigars and something more pleasant, discussed secret plans to invade the Soviet Union, months after it bore the brunt of defeating the Nazis. We have spoken extensively of the American 'Totality' plan, the UK's Operation Unthinkable. At the time, plans were discussed of launching strikes - I emphasize, nuclear strikes - on Soviet territory."
