Before any investigation, Hearst's New York Journal prints fabricated blueprints of "secret Spanish torpedoes" that never existed.
He publishes a $50,000 reward for proof Spain did it.
He floods the papers with fake atrocity propaganda to vilify Spain.
He refuses to print a single Spanish source.
The Spanish investigation that concluded it was an internal accident? Blacked out.
