Iran is bending over backwards to demonstrate they want a negotiated settlement and no war. Will it be matched on the American side? All this talk of enrichment, and stockpiles is all very helpful, but it does not address the proxy issue or the long range missiles. If President Trump genuinely wants a negotiated settlement and to avoid war, it is on a golden platter in his hands right now. But if he desires war, he will say that’s inadequate, and will claim that a deal has to include long range missiles, and proxies and enrichment, or no deal. If President Trump demands an all or nothing outcome, that he will get his war, and it will be clear that the United States does not desire diplomacy, but desires war. It is that simple.
