Here’s the true cost of supporting Israel. It's far more than billions of dollars in military aid each year: 1. The bulk of America’s domestic and foreign policy problems are related to the collapsing U.S. dollar, leading to inflation domestically (which increasingly pinches Americans’ pockets) and weakening our diplomatic strength abroad (as the dollar becomes increasingly undesirable as the world’s reserve currency). 2. The collapsing U.S. dollar is caused by both peacetime and wartime defense spending, because it’s funded by borrowing, and paid back by quantitative easing (printing cash), which then raises inflation and decreases the dollar’s value. 3. A huge percentage of our defense spending is done on behalf of Israel, for international conflicts that Israel exacerbates, by regional conflicts that Israel starts, or at the behest of Israeli war lobbying (like in Iraq and soon, Iran). 4. Meanwhile, the collapsing dollar leads to more military conflicts than would otherwise be necessary. When the dollar is weak, the U.S. has to exert its control over global markets by force, because a weak dollar makes it increasingly unattractive to do business with the U.S. Then, we have to borrow and print even more money to pay for the increasing military actions. Not all of our military spending is done to protect or defend Israel. But a large portion of it is. Maintaining the readiness necessary to defend Israel from all of the conflicts it seems hell-bent to get us into is a great cause for the problems our nation faces, both at home and abroad. It is far, far more than just the billions given each year to Israel’s defense budget. It's the escalating costs of of military spending that we simply can't afford. It's killing the U.S. dollar. It's destroying the American quality of life domestically when the prices for everything go up. And it's affecting your family's budget more than you know.
