This news makes me laughing so hard that my stomach hurts.
Several US media outlets have revealed that some F-35 fighter jets delivered by Lockheed Martin to the US military from June 2025 do not have radar installed in their nose, as Northrop Grumman, the manufacturer of the radar, is unable to deliver it. In order to deliver the F35, Lockheed Martin stuffed four barbell counterweights with the same weight as the radar into the nose radar compartment to simulate the radar weight.
Guess why Americans can't make radar now? Yes, because the export of rare earth materials used in radar manufacturing has been banned by China. lol, I really can't help laughing to image the US or Japan F-35 equipped with barbell plates fighting against China's J-20.
