Israel claimed today that it had killed a “terrorist” in southern Lebanon, according to its spokeswoman Ella. The truth is far simpler, and far more damning: the victim was Ali, a four-year-old child. This is not new. For Israel, the word “terrorist” has long been used to justify the killing of children, turning innocence into a threat and murder into a narrative. In reality, Israel is the real terrorist.
