Ted Cruz is here to tell us what we "really mean" when we say Zionist. First of all, Carrie Prejean Boller never said she "hated" Zionists. She said she does not "embrace" Zionism. Ted Cruz says she, and the rest of us Christians who are not Zionists, have been fed lies. This means the Apostles, Church Fathers, and 2,000 years of orthodox Christian doctrine on the relationship between Christians and Jews were feeding lies? He writes that being a Zionist, means you think Israel shouldn't exist. That is NOT TRUE. That is not what the definition of Zionism is. I believe that the country of Mexico has the right to exist as a sovereign nation, does this make me a Mexicanist? Zionism is an ideology that believes the biblical Israel (of the Old Testament) is the current nation state of Israel, that they have covenantal rights to this land, and that this nation state is God ordained, and not subject to the same standards as the rest of the countries throughout the world. This then, allows them to operate from a supremacist perspective, get away with things other countries cannot, and is propped up by people in America, like Ted Cruz and other Christian Zionists, who ascribe to this ideology. Ted Cruz finishes this by saying, "I pray that she read the Gospel and realizes this." He seems to think that the book of Genesis (12:3), which he cites all of the time to justify his Christian Zionism, is part of the Gospel. It's not. The Old Testament is not the Gospel. Ted Cruz should start with reading Acts of the Apostles. This would give him a clearer understanding of the relationship between Christians and Jews. It is precisely THIS, that conservative Christians in America are sick and tired of. Finally, before Christian Zionists try to cite Romans 11 of the New Testament, read the entirety of Romans 9 and 10 beforehand. You all love to pick and choose and lift out of context bible verses to fit your agenda. You've memorized certain verses (out of context) to make it look like you know scripture, but in reality it's shallow, baby pool Christianity and you've actually lost the whole plot, story, of what Christ really did by CONCLUDING the Old Law (Judaism). x.com/tedcruz/status
