In a lengthy meeting lasting nearly two and a half hours, the Israeli security establishment presented U.S. envoy Witkoff with the conditions and core principles that Tel Aviv insists on should negotiations with Tehran resume.
Israel outlined its demands, which include:
- Stripping Iran of its current stockpile of enriched materials.
- A complete halt to uranium enrichment activities.
- Imposing strict limitations on Iranโs ballistic missile program.
- Undermining the activities of Iranโs allied arms and regional proxies.
At the same time, Iran has already informed Turkey that any talks with Washington will be strictly limited to the nuclear file.
Tehran has made clear that uranium enrichment is non-negotiable and will continue inside Iran, rejecting any proposal to halt enrichment or move it abroad as a precondition for diplomacy.
Iranian officials have also stressed that there will be no negotiations whatsoever regarding the missile program or Iranโs support for resistance movements in the region, which they consider sovereign and defensive policies outside the scope of any talks.
