Before @pressfreedom (CPJ) decided to scrap their Impunity Index to protect Israel, they first tried to obscure the murder of Palestinian journalists by misclassifying their deaths.

Before (CPJ) decided to scrap their Impunity Index to protect Israel, they first tried to obscure the murder of Palestinian journalists by misclassifying their deaths. Despite Israel's clear partner of targeting Palestinian journalists in their homes, media tents, media cars, CPJ ignored the evidence and labeled their murder as "dangerous assignments" in order to exclude them from the Index. This was a clear attempt to hide the true extent of Israel's assassination campaign against Palestinian journalists. It shapes the historic narrative in Israel's favor and ignores the reporting and investigations of Palestinian journalists and human rights organizations that gave evidence of deliberate targeting.

Hi @susanabulhawa ! ✍🏽 My investigation on CPJ’s database that buries the count of journalists Israel killed, while denying they were deliberately targeted, had spurred on the CPJ whistleblowers to come forward. 🔸Read here if you’re interested: nofrontiersnews.com/p/scoop-commit
