In the town of Tallousa, near the Israeli border, in the Marjeyoun District of Nabatieh Governorate, 62-year-old Ahmad Tarmas received a call yesterday from someone identifying as the Israeli army. He asked whether Tarmas wished to die alone, or with his family. He chose to face death by himself and left the home he was in. Minutes later, a drone strike killed him in his car. Similar incidents have occurred in southern Lebanon, with victims receiving “death calls” before being assassinated by Israel, journalist Radwan Mortada writes.
