This is what the director of 
Hannah Arendt Institute – an inter-university historical research institute supported by universities of Antwerp, Brussels, Leuven and Hasselt + city of Mechelen – has to say about the ICE.
“What we are seeing today with ICE is a historically well-known process. Existing police forces are being supplemented with new shock troops, accompanied by rapid growth, heavier weaponry, tactical teams becoming the norm, and limitless support from the regime. That is not “security”; it is a political police force in the making.

It feels good and not good at all when your observations are shared and confirmed by historians specialized in Nazi ideology.
