This has little to do with oil. All credible estimates suggest it will take $40-50bn just to get Venezuelan production back to pre-sanctions levels and it's well-known that Venezuelan heavy crude is dense and viscous, requiring specialised processing (in, for example, Chinese refineries built for the task).
In any case, the US was already present in the Venezuelan supply chain via Chevron, which has had an amiable long-term relationship with PDVSA.
Venezuelan oil production will not plug any immediate demand or collapse prices, or even place immediate market pressure on Saudi Arabia, Russia or other producers.

It was a dry run for a new type of regime change mission — low-cost, lower-risk, lighter footprint, which Netanyahu has imposed on the US as a replacement for his (and Pax Judaica's) previous model, which used American troops and treasure to impose ground invasions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and elsewhere.
This solves Trump's problem with his base realising that he is a mere organ-grinder in office to permanently pass the institutions of American power formally into the hands of the Jewish Empire. With this proof of concept, his MAGA base is supposed to rally behind regime change missions which are sold by Pax Judaica as being in the American interest without the heavy externalities of the War on Terror.
