The 1979 revolution in Iran was not a grassroots movement.
It was a Carter CIA and State Department operation, funded by USAID, in which the administration compared Ayatollah Khomeini to Mahatma Gandhi—supplied by the French government—all to secure a better oil deal than the 1954 agreement that was set to expire in 1979. Peter Jennings was right there for propaganda purposes.
In other words: if you’re planning to topple governments, reach out to the CIA, the State Department, and USAID. For psychotic Islamic dictators, call the French.
Think about it: a turban-wearing Islamic mullah stepping off the plane—how did anyone think that was going to work out?
Today, the same culprits have evolved into operations like the 2022 in Brazil and the 2020 election right here at home.
