publishes a report that documents the tremendous value of international law: Since the UN Charter banned territorial conquest in 1945: - No UN member state has been permanently lost through conquest. - The amount of territory conquered per year has decreased by 95% - The probability of a state being conquered has dropped by 87% – from about once per human lifetime to once or twice per millennium.
