ISRAEL' SECRET PLANS FOR VENEZUELA
In a resurfaced clip from the 2009 Israeli documentary Defamation, Israeli President Isaac Herzog, then Minister of the Diaspora, Society, and Antisemitism, appears on camera speaking with Abraham Foxman, then the long-time director of the Anti-Defamation League. They talk about secret “plans” regarding Venezuela, but both clearly signal that they do not want to discuss them on camera. The conversation has a disturbing tone, hinting at behind-the-scenes strategies the public is not meant to know about.
Since the time of Hugo Chávez, Venezuela has been a beacon of pro-Palestinian support in Latin America and severed its relations with Tel Aviv. And as clearly portrayed in this clip, Israel was working to actively undermine the government in Caracas, under the guise of the fight against anti-semitism.
Delcy Gonzalez, Venezuela’s vice president, characterised the operation to kidnap Maduro as having a “Zionist tinge,” reflecting the threat of Israel’s well-documented influence in Washington. This clip only makes her words resonate more than ever, when also considering Maria Corina Machado's intervention campaign and her unwavering support for the Israeli regime.
