Will the Iranian regime fall because of the current protests?
Let’s break it down clearly beyond the surface-level takes:
Iran has a 2,500-year history and only 13 regimes have ruled it.
The current system is only 45 years old, relatively young
but still, its collapse is extremely difficult due to the regime’s deep-rooted structure and complexity.
These protests are much smaller than those in 2019,
which were far larger and stronger yet didn’t topple the regime.
This wave started as a purely economic protest:
•Currency collapse
•Price hikes (yes, even for eggs)
•Water shortages
People were angry at the government, not the regime.
In Iran, the regime stays, but governments shift between reformists and conservatives.
These protests were directed at reformists currently in power.
That’s when external actors stepped in:
The CIA and Mossad reportedly exploited the situation
shifting it from reform demands to a regime-change project.
The result?
Many citizens withdrew from the streets, realizing the movement was hijacked and now serves foreign agendas.
Today, those carrying out armed attacks on security forces are allegedly linked to foreign intelligence.
The situation is no longer a civilian protest.
Will the regime fall?
In my opinion: No.
This is a temporary wave, and like others before it it will pass.https://x.com/SilentlySirs/status/2009786805382525301
