If terrorism is the use of fear to control a population, what do you call it when the U.S. Treasury cuts a country off from the world? When its currency collapses. When its hospitals run out of medicine. When children die of treatable diseases. No bomb. No bullet. Just spreadsheets and orders. You call it sanctions. You call it pressure. You call it diplomacy. The mother burying her child does not call it that. To her, it is terror in a necktie.
