It's estimated that Israel has hundreds of nuclear warheads, yet the Western media never speaks about that. Israel adheres to "nuclear ambiguity”, refusing to admit to its nukes or even join the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Every American president is said to sign a letter pledging that they will not interfere with Israel's nuclear weapons program. It was in 1986 that an Israeli nuclear technician, Mordechai Vanunu, leaked photos of Israel’s nuclear weapons to the British press of its underground plant in the Negev Desert. The Mossad lured him to Italy, where he was drugged, kidnapped, and flown back to Israel. He was tried in secret and imprisoned for 18 years, including 11 years in solitary confinement

Israel had partnered with Apartheid South Africa to develop nuclear weapons in the 1960s and 1970s. Israelis had trained Apartheid South Africa’s elite military units, sold tanks and aviation technology to its army, and licensed the production of Galil rifles at a factory in South Africa. Prime Minister John Vorster of Apartheid South Africa, who the British had jailed during World War II for his pro-Nazi activities visited Israel, and Yitzhak Rabin praised him at a state banquet for creating a “prosperous atmosphere of cooperation” between their two countries. They made a deal that saw an exchange of raw materials for technology. South Africa mined uranium and sent 500 tons of yellowcake to Israel from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s. In return, Israel shared its ballistic-missile technology and sent South Africa 30 grams of tritium.
