They pretend to be afraid of "jihad."
But they are comfortable with crusades.
Comfortable with manifest destiny.
Comfortable with chosen peoples and promised lands.
What they fear is not belief.
It is belief that refuses to accept its assigned place.
A Muslim who commits a crime becomes Islam.
A Christian or Jew who commits a crime becomes an individual.
One becomes a mirror held up to a whole people.
The other is gently escorted offstage as an anomaly.
This is not morality.
It is a caste system of blame.
