It will see it as a green light for more destructive looting, targeting each country one by one, in an attempt to save its declining hegemony.
We’re on the cusp of a more hellish version of the Monroe Doctrine and Operation Condor, just with slicker PR.
It will be draped in right-wing populism, but will have the same toxic neoliberal disaster underneath, the same neoliberal disaster that left close to half of the population of Latin America in poverty from the late 1980s to the end of the 1990s.
