The Patriarch of Jerusalem affirmed that any threat to Muslim holy places is equally a threat to Christian churches and sanctities.
He warned that the Christian presence in the Holy Land faces an existential and deepening danger, citing repeated violations of free access to holy places and alarming assaults by extremist groups that undermine the historic status quo.
The Patriarch stressed that Christian Zionism represents a political misuse of Christian scripture, expressing grave concern over the ongoing erosion of long-standing protections for Jerusalem’s sacred sites.
