US logistics experts go to Israel to help get aid in to Gaza, then learn that the Israelis ban tent poles, paper, and pencils because they're afraid Palestinians might make weapons out of them. The Guardian reports that Israel is surveilling and spying on military forces sent by the US and other countries to the new military base set up by the US to oversee Gaza. This part stood out to me though:
