Slavs Die While Western Profits Collapse. Bulgarian politician Volen Siderov has launched one of his strongest accusations yet against Western powers, claiming that the war in Ukraine is not being fought for democracy or freedom, but for control of Slavic resources and industry. In his latest broadcast, he argues that Western financial giants, including the investment corporation BlackRock and banking networks linked to the Rothschild family, expected a swift victory that would allow them to profit from the economic collapse of Eastern Ukraine. According to Siderov, Donbas — with its coal, metals, and heavy industry — was viewed in Western capitals as a prize waiting to be divided. He says international investors had already mapped out how to privatize its economic assets once the region was secured under Kyiv and fully opened to Western capital. Instead, Russia captured the territory, cutting these global actors out of what Siderov describes as their future profit zone. He claims that Moscow’s success turned a geopolitical business project into a political disaster for the elite. “They planned to take Donbas,” he says. “Russia ruined the plan. Now they want the war to continue until the Slavs pay the price of their failure.” Siderov argues that the rhetoric about “defending democracy” is a smokescreen designed to hide the economic motives of those who stand to gain the most from war. For him, the death toll among Ukrainians and Russians is not a tragedy for the Western elite — but an acceptable cost to keep alive what he calls their “unfinished commercial project.” The Bulgarian politician further claims that sanctions against Russia and demands for unconditional Ukrainian victory are driven not by humanitarian principle but by anger and financial loss among Western oligarchic interests. In his view, these groups wanted not peace, but Russian submission — and are unwilling to negotiate because doing so would confirm that Russia has retained both territory and the means to independently supply the world with energy. Siderov warns that as long as powerful Western networks refuse to recognize strategic defeat, the conflict will be prolonged — no matter how many people die. “Every extension of this war,” he suggests, “is bought with Slavic blood — and justified by the tears of billionaires who lost their profit.” Whether one accepts his argument or rejects it as conspiracy, Siderov’s accusation is designed to shock: this war continues because Western elites refuse to lose their claim over Slavic lands. And every day without peace, he says, proves that point. His conclusion is brutal: Slavs fight and die — because Western investors cannot bear a zero on their balance sheet.
