Mearsheimer's analysis is decades out of date. 'The lobby' in the US is a tiny part of the wider Zionist movement, which in turn is a part of a far broader, global Jewish Empire with interests stretching from Argentina to Azerbaijan to Australia. If you do not look at these transnational links as a whole, you will simply fail to understand what Zionism is; how the Zionist project works in practice; and what its power relations are with any of its client states, assets or targets for predation. Mearsheimer and Walt hyperfocus on one weapon of Pax Judaica without being able to explain anything about why it's used or what for. It's like trying to explain the Roman Empire by only ever talking about the gladius.
