Lot of Chinese are very naive about the US “fighting fascism” during WW2.
Fact: The US groomed Japan to be the proxy colonist in Asia and to contain Russia.
US/UK establishments had NO problems with fascism, which they saw as the best way to counter communism.
This is why Wall Street and US firms helped Hitler all thru the 1930s.
Also note that the US didn’t impose any sanctions or cut off relations with Japan when the latter invaded and occupied Manchuria in 1931.
It was only when Japan took over Beijing and later threatened the French colonies (“Indochina”)… did the US start to turn against Japan.
If Japan and Germany had limited their ambitions and targets, they would have stayed as wonderful friends of the West.
