If the UN Security Council adopts Trump’s colonial proposal today, as it appears poised to do, it will represent the greatest betrayal of the Palestinian people, the rules of international law, and the principles of self-determination and decolonization, since the UN adopted the partition plan in 1947 against the will of the indigenous people, setting the stage for 80 years of Nakba. And it will drive the last nail in the coffin of UN legitimacy. But this ruse will not succeed. And history will remember the collaborators who bowed to the empire to allow this to happen.
