Under international law, armed resistance against foreign occupation, colonial domination, racist regimes, apartheid, and genocide is entirely legal. This is clear, as a matter of law. But what Western discourse most tries to obscure is the common sense recognition that, if people are not to simply lie down and die in the face of murderous injustice, then struggling against such evils is also a practical imperative, deeply moral, undeniably courageous, and fundamentally honorable. They seek to invert morality and to brainwash the public into believing that the oppressor is noble, and those who resist oppression are evil. Ask me who I condemn. It will always be the regime perpetrating these evils, and those complicit in them. It will never be those resisting them.
