Astonishing. Grok admits that Canaanites preceded the Israelites, and that Palestinian Christians descend from Canaanites. But it still insists Jews are the indigenous people of the land, not the descendants of the people who were there before the Israelites. This is no longer a discussion about facts, it's about beliefs. Grok has been programmed to believe that Jews are the indigenous people of today's Israel/Palestine. So strong is this programming that even when forced to admit there is evidence that the ancestors of Palestinian Christians were there before the ancestors of the Jews, Grok still insists that Jews, not Palestinian Christians, are the indigenous people. It's almost impossible to shift an entrenched belief with facts and logical argument. This appears to be as true of an AI as it is of a human.
