I don’t give the United States the benefit of the doubt because it has already used it, for eighty years straight.

I don’t give the United States the benefit of the doubt because it has already used it, for eighty years straight. It was given the benefit of the doubt in Vietnam, And it burned children with napalm. It was given the benefit of the doubt in Iraq, And it lied about weapons of mass destruction. It was given the benefit of the doubt in Libya, And it left an open-air slave market. It was given the benefit of the doubt in Gaza, And it sent more bombs. The benefit of the doubt is not diplomacy. It is the privilege of empire. And privilege, unaccountable, always turns into impunity. To "doubt" the empire less is to remember less. It is to forget the coups, the famines, the proxy wars, the sanctions, the assassinations, the price others pay so that Americans can still believe they are the heroes of history. Empires don’t deserve doubt. They deserve documentation. They deserve memory. When a nation has spent its entire modern history justifying domination as virtue, Its words are not promises. They are camouflage. So no, my friend. I don’t give the United States the benefit of the doubt. Because history already did, And history regrets it.

Bro, I appreciate your insight. Why do you not give the US the benefit of the doubt in any category?
