The term "conspiracy theory" is one of the most effective weapons for ruling-class narrative control. Through the early 20th c., the term was neutral. Then Karl Popper in The Open Society and Its Enemies began its weaponization. Then, after the JFK assassination, the CIA turbocharged this weaponization in the 1967 Dispatch 1035-960, where they urged the media to drop the term on any explanations that ran counter to the Warren Commission report. And a theory is not wrong for being a conspiracy theory.
