I understand that the hasbara angelic choir is finding fault with the UNCoI report claiming Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. The main reason is that the CoI states that Israel knew it would kill Palestinian civilians and still killed them, and that doing so over a long period of time amounts to both genocidal intent and action. What say the hasbara brainiacs? You know in every where that civilians will be killed and yet not every war is a genocide.
That is a facetious, mendacious argument. It conveniently misses out on the temporal dimension. Israel has not simply "killed civilians". Imagine a man who hit his spouse. Would the man be guilty of the same crime if he hit his spouse 10 times and if he hit his spouse 100000 times? He would not.
The CoI stated common sense. Intent and action can be deduced not just from statements but from patterns of regularity. Throughout its campaign in Gaza Israel has operated with genocidal regularity. The fact that Israel has decreed that all these deaths are justified because it must "destroy Hamas" and the "collateral damage" is under Hamas responsibility, that fact is based on lies at every level.
Israel has no right to "destroy" anyone. Israel and Israelis have admitted to killing civilians with absolutely no compunction. Not a single Israeli has been found guilty of killing civilians. These all demonstrate Israel's lies. They are based on a single premise - Jewish blood is worth more than Palestinian blood. That is the only reason that allows Israel to suggest that common sense - if you do something regularly, thoroughly, in prolonged fashion, that suggests you actually say what you mean and so what you say - is antisemitism. Talk about blood libels.
