They never admit they were beaten. They say they chose to "refocus."
They call it "pivot." They call it "redeployment." They call it "concentrating resources."
But the truth is simpler.
They leave when they are broken.
Vietnam was not abandoned because Washington wanted to "focus" elsewhere. It was abandoned because it could not be held.
Afghanistan was not left behind because America needed troops in Iraq. It was left because twenty years of war collapsed in a week.
And Ukraine will not be dropped because of the Middle East. It will be dropped because the empire bled billions and still could not win.
Shifting fronts is not strategy. It is retreat with new branding.
Every rebrand tears away another layer of the mask.
And what remains is the one thing it fears most: the world seeing it naked in defeat.
