Haaretz reports Egypt confronted Israel over Netanyahu’s silence on the so-called “Witkoff plan.” A senior Egyptian official told opposition leader Yair Lapid the partial captive deal— 10 living, 18 dead, and 60 days of talks — was “dictated by Netanyahu” but disguised as Witkoff’s. Hamas signed, only for Netanyahu to vanish. For two weeks Cairo says it hasn’t been able to reach his office, as he now rejects the very deal he proposed.
