Why were "the others" unable to do that to the West? Because we didn’t build ships to traffic flesh. Because we didn’t cross oceans to enslave continents. Because we didn’t turn massacres into markets, or famines into fiscal policy. Because we had cultures. Not corporations. Ancestors. Not shareholders. Rituals. Not rifles. Because we believed in balance, not domination. In memory, not monopoly. In enough, not everything. You ask why we didn’t do to them what they did to us? Because we weren’t empty enough to become them. And we still aren’t.
