To blame Hamas for Israel’s genocide is to blame the locked door for being kicked in. Gaza didn’t start this war; it has endured it since 1948.

To blame Hamas for Israel’s genocide is to blame the locked door for being kicked in. Gaza didn’t start this war; it has endured it since 1948. The so-called “spark” of Oct 7, 1,139 dead, 379 of them active-duty IDF, most of the rest reservists or armed settlers, many killed by indiscriminate Israeli fire, was neither unprecedented nor unprovoked; it was the moment the prisoners snapped a 77 year shackle and the jailer shrieked foul. The inflated “1,400” body count, the “majority civilians” refrain, the mass-rape hoax, each was propaganda laid like runway lights for the bombers already queued for Gaza. Colonial violence never needed permission: checkpoints, assassinations, land theft, and blockade were the daily architecture of death long before that morning. Cowards cling to the trigger myth because it spares them admitting the crime began in 1948 and never once took a day off.

What is happening in Gaza is atrocious and a matter of great shame. Having said that , don't you think that the ill-timed Oct 7 operation has given the Israelies the excuse to pursue the operation that they've always wanted to ? Isn't Hamas to be blamed bigtime for this?
