The real issue was the existence of an alternative financial system, one that posed a threat to the Anglo-American elites and the states that build and sustain their vast wealth through imperialism and the exploitation of populations. In the eyes of the West, any alternative system had to be destroyed by any means necessary. And now we’re seeing the results of those actions.
