Not only would no one know Peston was Jewish unless they were told, while everyone knows Diane Abbott is black, Peston and the rest of the media absolutely reinforced a "hierarchy of racism" they claim to abhor in this case.

Martin Forde KC was appointed by Starmer to investigate a leak that showed senior Labour officials, who were trying to sabotage Corbyn's leadership by smearing him as an antisemite, express deeply racist views about black people, including Diane Abbott.
Forde concluded just such a "hierarchy of racism" existed in Labour – one that prioritised Jewish concerns above those of other minorities. Peston and the rest of the establishment media were critical in promoting that hierarchy to destroy Corbyn.
