Israel is losing the American public fast. Israel needs to achieve this dominance over Iran before it loses the ability to push the US around.

This is part of the reason Netanyahu feels time is not on his side on many issues, including what he wants to restart the war with Iran sooner rather than later. Israel appears to have given up the hope of decapitating the regime, but still believes it can turn Iran into the next Syria: A country Israel can bomb at will, INDEPENDENTLY OF THE US, and face no consequences. (The 12-day war failed to achieve this.)
But Israel is losing the American public fast. Israel needs to achieve this dominance over Iran before it loses the ability to push the US around.
Netanyahu is essentially fighting the demographic clock here.
Overall, the American public's approval rating for Israel's slaughter in Gaza is at -28%. But among Americans under 35, it's at -73% (!!)
This is not likely to shift back.
