It's very important to disentangle the limited concept of the Israel lobby (an outgrowth of one tactic applied by Zionists) from the much broader Zionist movement (the underlying ideological, financial, political, military and institutional infrastructure that propels Zionism). Here is my four part definition of the tasks and reposes of the Zionist movement: 1. The Zionist movement is interested in creating and supporting the “Israel lobby” to defend and extend the power of the movement/ideology by influencing foreign (and indeed domestic) policy in countries in which it organises. But not only that. 2.The Zionist movement is interested in providing material support to the Zionist entity (via charities which send $£€ millions each year to support war crimes, genocide and land theft). But not only that. 3. The Zionist movement is interested in training, indoctrinating, radicalising and grooming its children and youth to be fully committed genocidaires. It does this through its nurseries, schools, youth groups, synagogues, student groups, birthright tours and recruitment of settlers (via the Jewish National Fund, Jewish Agency and United Jewish Appeal-Keren Hayesod (and its equivalent in the US, the Jewish Federations of North America)) and/or into the occupation forces (via the Masa Journey or Marva Program or the Lone Solider Programme). But not only that. 4. In addition, the Zionist movement is also centrally involved in sending its recruits into society and the world of work as life-long agents of the genocidal ideology. It is involved, in a word, in infiltration. It does this in those societies in which it is formally organised as well as those in which it just has adherents. This is why the whole of the Zionist movement needs to be decommissioned and not just those parts actively starving and killing people in the Levant now.
