America’s Real Red Line: Empire, Apartheid, and Impunity The US just sanctioned a UN official for calling out war crimes. This is chilling. It is an attempt to silence those who threaten impunity for Israel and the US. By targeting Francesca Albanese, Washington has dropped the facade. It can no longer claim to be the defender of freedom and democracy. It is the enforcer of apartheid and empire. There is real trouble coming for all of us, and the US administration, blinded by its loyalty to Israel, is dragging us toward a dark place, where we will all be sacrificed for their impunity, their wars, and their empire.
